Saturdays

We train every Saturday, from the start of September to the end of June, on the 4G astroturf pitches at Gunnersbury Park between 08:30 and 12 noon. Training for our younger age groups starts at 08:30, and 10:15 for old children.

Training approach

Our coaches are fully qualified and focus on building confidence in every player, both in their own skills and as part of a team. Through fun exercises and drills, we teach them how to work together, communicate, and support each other so they can play their best on the field. These skills are also valuable for other aspects of their lives.

Football for all

We welcome girls and boys to train with Old Actonians YFC, and cater for those who just want to train or who aren’t yet ready to play in matches. We also have a very successful sister club, Actonians Girls Wildcats, for girls who’d prefer a female only environment.

Matches

Children can play in matches from age 6, and we have a range of teams from U7 to U13 who play matches on Sundays. We always try to ensure our teams are matched against teams of similar ability, so the matches are competitive and developmental.

Safe environment

Your child’s safety is our top priority. All our coaches are trained in child protection, first aid, and have passed full background checks. We make sure every session is safe, professional, and caring. This means your child can learn and enjoy football in a safe and supportive environment.
